Free Services for Families in Central Florida
A 2018 United Way Study found that 47 percent of families in Orange County (about 220,203 total households) struggled to afford basic necessities like childcare, housing, food, health care and transportation costs. In Osceola County, 57 percent of households (an estimated 55,614 families) had incomes that fell below the area’s standard cost of living. The United Way study focused on individuals who, despite holding jobs, have little or no savings and are one emergency away from falling into poverty.
